We went to Phoebe's school open house tonight... for a while, except during the time frame in which we were there, the classrooms were not open. They didn't open until 7:00. I'm not sure what time the OTHER kids go to bed, but mine go to bed between 7 and 8. I suspect we could have kept them up, if it weren't almost 100 degree out (no kidding, that's how hot it was), and we didn't have an hour to wait around with NOTHING going on at the school except random kid play time.

Phoebe was quite upset at leaving without showing us her hard work this year, and her classroom and so forth. So we peeked in through the window, and then asked our dear friends, the Tserns, if they would go in to Phoebe's class for us as surrogate parents. Actually, Phoebe asked Gigi (her best friend's mom) herself over the phone as we got home from our time on campus. I received a camera phone image of Phoebe's note to us about five minutes ago.

In the meantime, the girls are in bed.

So why is it that I'm crying?
