Congratulations! It is with great pleasure that I write to inform you that your child, Piper Aaronson, has been accepted into the Kindergarten at Bullis Charter School for the 2008-2009 school year.
The other letter said:
Thank you for submitting an application for your child, Phoebe Aaronson, Grade 3, to the Bullis Charter School for the 2008-2009 school year... Based on (the lottery guidelines), your child's application was placed with his/her appropriate group and grade level, and was assigned a number in the order it was drawn. We have mailed out letters of acceptance to fill the available spots for the 2008-2009 school year. All other students are wait listed. Your child's position on the waiting list within your preference group for the 2008-2009 school year is Number 1 for Grade 3.
I am really excited. I think this environment will benefit Phoebe, specifically, as it seems like it has a creative focus, and is more helpful in individualized learning styles. Piper will also thrive there, certainly - but I wasn't as concerned about her (yet?).
