View Article  Revisiting Spring '07, and the school board battle...
Some reflections:

1. I made a lot of FRIENDS, all throughout the district. Yay!

2. The board's decision did not put complete burden on one geographic, socioeconomic, and ethnic subset of the district. Yay!

3. Not only did I MAKE friends, I learned who my true friends were. I've been blessed with more true friends than I ever realized. More YAY!

4. Despite our political differences, most people in this "world" are pretty darned cool. YAY YAY YAY!

And thus ends my overly sappy and optimistic reflections for tonight.
View Article  thanksgiving and cancer
I've posted a lot about cancer in the last year.

Did I mention that I hate cancer?

My oldest two learned about loss from cancer this summer. However, this Thanksgiving, they also learned, hopefully, that there are those who survive it.

Chemo

Here they decorated the head of our dear friend, Sara, who has undergone the last of her chemo, and should be done with radiation by Christmas, for breast cancer.
