As we're rapidly approaching cold and flu season - my oldest was out of school three days last week with something resembling a mild flu, or a bad cold - I've been looking at the best ways to minimize risk of these illnesses. I've got a new baby in the house who I want to protect, as well as the rest of us, as we don't get flu shots.

Of course the key is good hand hygiene. It's something we practice at work all the time, and it holds true at home as well!

Besides, the kids LOOVE "water play", and if I can find it, we have a cool bottle of watermelon scented hand sanitizer that could be considered fun as well. Hopefully last week's illness will be our family's last one this winter. But then, with two in schools... yeah, here's to hoping!
